The Nashville Film & Music Entertainment Community were part of the packed-house for a one-of-a-kind VIP party Nov 10th. A special screening of Ridley Scott's "Killing Kennedy", became the most talked about private event of the season. The Party's Guest of Honor was Actor Michael Shiflett, who plays "Will Fritz" in the film. Shiflett is also known for his role as "Senator RMT Hunter" in Steven Spielberg's Academy Award-Winning film, "Lincoln".
Through The Grapevine : News of the party spread & was featured throughout prominent Tennessee Film Industry websites and social media including The Tennessee Film , Music & Entertainment Commission, FilmNashville, and via Facebook / Twitter & Instagram by entertainment industry guests. The Party was a fundraiser for Planet CrindelStar's Anti-Bullying Outreach with announcement posted to the Planet CrindelStar Blog. Ultimately, the downtown private venue was filled to capacity with close to 100 Celebrity & VIP guests, enjoying the live music of Latin rhythms , a Silent Auction, Screening of "Killing Kennedy" movie, exploring Virgin Islands products from Sponsors Karibbean Kids, Itiba Natural Beauty, and browsing the de Lugo family's private JFK Collection, shown publicly for the first time. Guests were invited to sample Bellaterra luxurious cigars from the humidor while relaxing on the red carpet in the party's "JFK Cigar Lounge", alongside glamorous vintage cars from Matchless Transportation.
Parked curbside along the red carpet was a 1959 Baby Blue Jaguar, Hostess Gigi de Lugo, (Founder of Tropic Heat Studios), called "Camelot", honoring First Lady Jackie Kennedy. "Nose to nose" , the Camelot lined up with the historic 1962 Black Cadillac of Country Legend, Waylon Jennings. Ms de Lugo referred to the classic limo as "The President". Both vehicles were adorned with small American Flags - befitting the glory days of "Camelot".
